The community of Llanfihangel Talyllyn has hosted a fantastic 'away day' for refugees and asylum seekers from Swansea.
We organised our first 'away-day' for some of the asylum-seekers/refugees from Swansea on Sunday 13th December at Hay Castle.
We are a group of volunteers co-ordinating a local response to the refugee crisis. We do our best to address the many issues and requests for help that come to us. But as volunteers, each with family and other responsibilities, we cannot always respond as quickly as we would like.…
We are busy sorting and packing items that have been generously donated for the welcome packs, which will be given to newly arrived people in need of refuge in Swansea.
We are so grateful to all of the wonderful people and organisations in our local area (and beyond!) who have given us invaluable support since we started in September 2015.
People across Wales are being invited to join in a national day of prayer for refugees on Thursday the 10th of December, which is Human Rights Day.
There are many ways in which you can help...

HBTSR formed in September 2015, as the global refugee crisis escalated. We joined City of Sanctuary soon afterwards. We are a registered charity, No: 1173570
