Llwyn Celyn and Caerphilly Castle (2 days) and two visits to Hay Festival (summer and
winter) with smaller groups.

N.B. The visits in the period 2020 -2022 were severely curtailed by the Covid-19 pandemic.
In addition to these main events, the group also organised several visits each year for
smaller groups, frequently of young, unaccompanied children, and has offered short stay
breaks in holiday cottages for young families.
Attendance at Welcome Days fluctuates for a number of resons but usually averages
between 80 – 100 people present, of whom approx. 60 are people seeking sanctuary and
the rest are members of the local communities or other well-wishers.
