We had a wonderful day at Hay Fairtrade’s Annual Christmas market and we are very grateful to the organising committee for hosting it and inviting us to participate.
We took £240 in donations and made many new friends over the course of the day with only a couple of people not wholeheartedly in agreement with our cause, one of whom ended up giving a donation as his daughter insisted on having some of our delicious chocolate cake – a lady of impeccable taste!
We had tea, coffee and wonderful cakes on our stall and the afternoon was spent wrapping Christmas presents of donated items, which we will take down to Swansea on Thursday for Unity in Diversity‘s Christmas party and for the Swansea Bay Asylum Seekers Support Group children’s party, which is on Saturday.
Thanks to all our wonderful volunteeers – Rosie, Carrie, Barbara, Virginia, Hilary, Sue, Gez, Jo , Sean and Eugene.
