Members of Hay, Brecon & Talgarth Sanctuary for Refugees (HBTSR) attended sessions of the Community Conversation held in Hay and Brecon on 12 and 13th November . At the Hay session were Melrose, Claire and Lynne and Rhiannon, Lis and[ very briefly ] Ailsa attended the session in Brecon.

The Community Fair allowed HBTSR to meet local groups, share its work, and hear what matters most to Brecon residents. At the lunchtime focus group, participants explored community needs and ideas for improving wellbeing, inclusion, and local services.

It was felt that some useful contacts were made

The event is part of Powys’ programme under the UK Government’s Shared Prosperity Fund, designed to gather local voices and shape future plans.

HBTSR welcomed the chance to take part and looks forward to contributing to future conversations.
