HBTSR Trustee Adil Gatrad is also a founder member of the Monmouthshire Muslim Community Association[ MMCA] . With his guidance, HBTSR have been able to help support this fledgling group who celebrated their second Ramadan and Eid this year. HBTSR is proud that we attract supporters of all faiths, and political persuasions [ and none] and has been keen to support MMCA as many of their members have a sanctuary seeking background.

For many years we have arranged for gifts at Christmas for some people seeking sanctuary and we have been keen to give some gifts for EID which we have done via MMCA . We have supplied money towards this and suitable gifts have been given.

It  has been a great pleasure to accept invitations to a shared community Iftar [ a communal breaking of the fast during Ramadan]. On 15th April , Lawrence and Ailsa accepted an invitation and were delighted and surprised to also accept on behalf of HBTSR a glass plaque marking our support.

The plaque is now on display together with awards made by Powys Association of Voluntary Organisations [PAVO] to HBTSR in Llangorse Community Centre where it can be seen from the entrance windows. [The only  problem of not spending money on offices and staff is that we don’t have a place to display such things!]
