Unity in Diversity (UiD) runs twice-weekly sessions providing food, support and learning opportunities to asylum seekers and refugees in the Swansea area as well as providing football training sessions. Football has been played at almost each of our Away Days and in July, the UiD football team took on the Talgarth Rovers FC. You can read all about the day here.
The Unity in Diversity football team meets up twice a week and promotes and celebrates fun, friendship and healthy active participation. They have had numerous matches and welcome anyone with an interest in friendships across diverse cultures and the development of their game. The team and the training sessions are vital to the players, giving many rare access to wider social activities.
The team are, however, currently appealing for football boots for the team. They especially need boot sizes 6-11 (but mainly 7-9) for the football team and people who just want to train. If you have any unused football boots, please do get in touch or drop them off at our collection points below. Thank you.
