Whilst many people were planning gifts and parties, Maryna and Vadym of Squeezing were planning humanitarian aid for elderly people living on the frontline in Ukraine . On 1st December 2024 ,Maryna decided that she wanted to send 100 shoe boxes of humanitarian aid and by 20th December thanks to great support and many donations from some of the very many people who have been fortunate to meet her , the family were able to dispatch 26 large boxes containing, 173 shoe boxes with head torches, hats gloves, chocolate, hygiene kits for adults, 4 huge boxes for children with clothes, shoes, toys and sweets, a box of aid for military doctors, a box of hygiene products for ladies and a box of over 200 warm socks.[ Thanks Jason]
Maryna is going to Ukraine to help in the distribution of this aid in the next few weeks.

On 29th December 2024 a party was held by Ukrainians and their hosts and friends to celebrate Christmas at Henderson Hall in Talybont.As always, Rhiannon played a big part in ensuring the success and she said, ‘A big thank you to all those who helped to make the Ukrainian party such a big success. For many, it’s a particularly tough time of year so to see the fun and to hear the laughter – especially from the children – was a real joy. Our hopes are with theirs for a peaceful resolution in Ukraine in 2025.’
